Expanding your vision

Finally started on this book. The Power Point Group discussed on Chapter 1 :Expanding your vision this evening.
Some of the points that we concluded are;

  • The Word of God stands, no matter what the circumstances.
  • God has good things in store for us.
  • We have to believe in in His Word.
  • The enemy has a plan to abort God's wonderful plan for us.
  • Satan is a father of lies. He speak lies and has us believe in mediocrity.
  • We had fall short of God wonderful plan.
  • We have to have a positive attitude, believe, expect and place ourselves into God's plan.
  • We have to have faith and allow God divine intervention to work in our life.

  1. Hi Chee Kar. Don't mean to dampen your enthusiasm on Joel Green. But do be careful reading self-help plus faith kind of books. Do check whether they are scriptural. I am saying this not to enter into a debate but just a brotherly concern. God bless you entrepreneurship.

  2. Hi Israel, Thank your for your comment.

    The church Cell is using this for our discussion topics for this year. I had read the first few chapters of the book, there is hardly any scripture quoted and I personally finds it kinda long winded, our native language as "loh soh", but then I realised that if Joel Osteen is to preach to a congregation of tens of thousands, with people from every segment of the society, what do you expect a pastor like him to preach.

    Our Cell discussion was lively as Joel's topics are very real and relate to normal life issues. Sounded very trivial but nonetheless, many Chritians are still defeated in these areas.

    Depending on the Cell's mix of maturity, the discussion can take a very meaningful and interesting turn.

    Again I say, the topic sounded 'loh soh' but it seriously ministered to a cell member last night. That is enough for me. It is for the Holy Spirit to have it His way in ministering.

    God bless....:)
